Two Africans In Court For Nigerian Letter Scam
All of us who have e-mail accounts have probably had these personal e-mails. While the dialogue is slightly different, the plot is essentially the same.
A high ranking official states that he has to get millions of dollars out of Africa, but he needs your assistance to do so. He asks for your personal information along with a few hundred dollars to cover administrative costs.
Then there are more fees, and more fees, and at the end, there is no money "to get out of Africa".
This scam has taken huge resources from fraud fighting police forces around the world.
On December 23rd, the South African government proceeded with charges against one particular African couple. For the story, click here.
