Alberta Travel Clubs Charged With Misleading Consumers
Back in August of 2001 Rainbow Investigations report on an Alberta Government Services investigation into a travel club known as Snowbird Vactions. At that time no charges were laid against the travel club.
Now, about 11 months later, another Alberta Government Services investigations this time has resulted in 11 charges against two travel clubs. One of the clubs is in fact Intravelnet.com which operates as Snowbird Vactions International.
The charges relate to operating without licences, misleading consumers, and refusing to provide refunds when consumers attempted to cancel their contracts.
